Embroidered bags

Image
One of the latest trends I’m currently loving is embroidered bags. Anyone that knows me knows that I love my backpacks, so for me to purchase a cross body bag says a lot especially when the bags aren’t plain. There’s not many trends I obsess over across different seasons since i’m minimal with my style and like to keep things casual, but the detailed embroidery on not only bags but garments have me changing my style slightly this summer. Whilst shopping and looking round shops, I came across this embroidered cross body bag in Primark and just needed it, especially since the bag only cost £7, it’s £7 I won’t be missing. Black leather crossbody bag, with red and green detail and mini beaded detailing on the front with a plain black strap and magnet fastening. What I love about this bag is the minimal detail to it. It’s not only aesthetically pleasing but it doesn’t look “too much” which makes it easier to pair with multiple outfits. The colours and deta

Deconstructed Jacket

Image
In my last post, I talked about how I was creating a deconstructed jacket inspired by Viktor & Rolf's collection, it took me a couple of weeks to create but it's finally complete and I'm honestly so satisfied with the outcome. Also shoutout to my best friend for modelling the jacket for me  Sorry the post is like five months late, college has taken up so much of my time but now I've finally finished my final year I will be posting a lot more frequently!

Viktor & Rolf - Vagabonds

I n college, I’m currently studying a foundation course, studying fashion. On the course, we get given different assignments to complete every four weeks, and right now my project is Deconstruction / Reconstruction recycle garments. With starting a new project, theres always the research that is the first step and whist I’m still doing my research, I came across Viktor & Rolf’s Haute Couture, Autumn / Winter 2016 vagabonds collection. Usually with my artist research, I get inspired by artists work to create design ideas and develop them further into final outcomes, but with Viktor and Ralph’s collection, its another story. It takes me a while to settle with artists who realistically will help me take my work further and not just have artists work for the sake of having artists work, but with Viktor & Rolf, I have fallen in love with their collection and already have a wide range of design ideas which I know will end up becoming my final outcome. A multitude of

Statement Chokers

From right side: Lanvin, Lowew, Balmain, Dries Van Noten Like all good 90’s trends, they always come back and go mainstream and currently chokers are the mainstream trend. Among the styles of chokers which vary from bold to lace to leather, velvet, dainty and architectural metal, so many people seem to be loving the choker trend right now and I for one am infatuated by it. Chokers can do a lot for outfits, they either give you a girly, feminine touch or simply a chic look to complete a simple outfit or add boldness. I for one love to wear chokers with majority of my outfits lately when I feel as though my neck looks too bare or I want to instantly transform an outfit. Many celebrities have joined in with the trend too from Rihanna, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Gigi and Bella Hadid and the Kardashian / Jenner sisters. Chokers have joined the street style looks during fashion week and chokers also made an appearance during the Fall / Winter 2016 runway for many designers
